Home Makeover Part 2: Basement Update

In this next post, I'm going to share with you pictures of our updated basement...well one side of it! Stay tuned for the workout area and basement bathroom photos.

I think the basement might have been the creepiest part of the house. There were two bedrooms, a bathroom, and a family room with halfway painted paneling in IU red...it was hideous! Just look at a few of these before and afters!

New walls, paint, flooring, even the ceiling is new! I will say it's time to change out that light...it served a purpose when this area was our photography studio, but now it needs to go!

We added the sliding barn wood doors to close off the workout area (upcoming post) to the family area.

We really like the Bedford stone, so we kept that but created a whole new built-in around the fireplace.

Needless to say, we gutted this whole level as well and now it's one of my favorite areas in the house! What do you think of this update?
