Ticketmaster Helpful Tips & Tricks
How to avoid missing out on your favorite artist
Getting tickets for a show you really want to see can be a nightmare. The fear that you might not get a ticket is scary, but the idea of getting a ticket is exciting. Here are some helpful tips that will hopefully help you get tickets to your dream concert.
Tip #1: Make Multiple Accounts
The more accounts you have, the higher chance you have that one of your accounts will be at the front of the queue. One thing to keep in mind is to stick to one account for each device. DO NOT use multiple browsers on one device. Opening multiple windows can result in errors from switching back and forth. The best way to go is to make multiple accounts and open a different account on each device on a SINGLE tab.
Tip #2: Don’t let the computer think you’re a bot
First, make sure you don’t refresh the page too often, because the computer will deem this suspicious. Stay on one browser and only open each account on one device at a time. Opening multiple windows will result in errors, so make sure not to do that. The main point to take away from this is not to refresh your browser as many times as you can, as tempting as it may be. ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU’RE IN THE QUEUE. If you refresh in the queue, you will most likely be sent back to the end of the queue, which is the worst situation to get stuck in, so instead, just DON’T REFRESH.
Tip #3: Log in early
Just a reminder: If you’re buying a ticket in a different time zone, make sure you check and know the exact time the ticket sale is going up so you can prepare accordingly. Make sure you will have access to your device at this time. Get on about 10 minutes before the ticket release time to ensure that the site is loading and you’re on the website. A couple seconds before the ticket release time, refresh the website to get in the front of the queue (or at least try to).
Tip #4: Think Ahead
Getting into the website and making it to the seat selection is what most people stress about, but a super important component is knowing what to do at this point. Firstly, make sure you know what seats you want and what seats you don’t want. Make sure you know the amount of money you’re willing to spend as well, because chances are, prices are going to vary, especially depending on the number of seats left. Make sure you will be somewhere with adamant internet connection at the time of the ticket release, so that the loading process won’t run extra long. Keep your credit card nearby at the time as well, so that you don’t have to spend time rummaging through your wallet for it, while someone can take your seats. Even better, enter your billing information onto your account beforehand and make sure it’s all up to date so that it will be filled out and all you have to do is click next.
Tip #5: Sign up for presale
For more chances to get tickets, sign up for presale. That will increase your chances of getting a ticket, because not as many people have access to that. This means that there also won’t be as many people in the queue and there shouldn’t be too many loading issues. You also basically get first pick on seats. Even if you don’t get your tickets in the presale, you essentially have a second chance to try again and get tickets. Second time’s the charm!
Tip #6: Try Resale Tickets
Unfortunately, a lot of people aren’t able to get tickets, so you have to resort to other options, like buying second hand resale tickets. A lot of people also get tickets and aren’t able to go, so they sell them or they just buy extras to sell them later. They may be slightly overpriced and more expensive, but they still offer an opportunity to get tickets. Typically, there are at least a couple of reasonable sellers who you can trust to get tickets from. So don’t be totally bummed if you can’t get them the first time around!
These six tips should help you take on Ticketmaster and beat the system! Hopefully these tricks help you and you get your tickets to your dream concert :) Comment down below your past experiences or your thoughts on these tips!
