Learn How Aperture, ISO & Shutter Speed Work Together

Have you ever thought to yourself, I'm going to finally switch my camera off of the auto setting, so you learn all the basics of ISO, shutter speed and aperture? You think...I've got this! Then you quickly learn...you don't.

You adjust your shutter speed for your moving subject, but now your picture is too dark! Or, you adjust the aperture to make your background blurry, but now your picture is too light! That's because you haven't yet learned about the exposure triangle and how the three settings, ISO, shutter speed and aperture, work together.

The visual below will give you a better understanding of how the three most crucial camera settings interact with one another. In order to achieve proper exposure, you will have to learn how to balance the three.

If that visual was still a little confusing, check out the video below where I explain in depth how these three key settings will affect every photo you take from here on out.
